Our Accommodations

Comfy, Modern Lodging & Facilties

Upon arrival at camp, campers are sorted into Cabin Groups, grouped by gender, and kept as close in age.  Typically, cabins have 20 campers per cabin, and we maintain a 4:1 or better camper to staff ratio.

Cougar Lodge

Our youngest campers spend their stay at Camp Muskoka in Cougar Lodge – a centrally located building that houses 4 separate groups. Cougar lodge is spacious and very comfortable. Cougar Lodge is equipped with washrooms and shower facilities, so it is never far to go! Each camper is assigned a bunk and has a cabinet for their personal belongings. Staff rooms are adjacent to camper rooms, making staff available whenever the campers need them, and ensuring maximum supervision at all times.  Although we encourage an “open window, fresh air” policy, Cougar Lodge is heated and air-conditioned for everyone’s comfort at all times, no matter the weather.

The Cottages

Our older campers live in buildings we call The Cottages (they’re too nice to be called cabins)! Our cabins too spacious and very comfortable. Each is equipped with washroom and shower facilities along with camper and staff accommodations. Bunk Beds and cubbies for personal belongings are standard in the Cottages as are chairs for lounging with friends! Staff rooms are separate, but under the same roof – designed for privacy while still offering immediate staff availability and proper supervision at all times. Each cottage has a porch for relaxing, and cottages have heating and air-conditioning available so everyone is comfortable no matter the weather.

Leader-In-Training (L.I.T)

Leader-In-Training Campers (L.I.T.s) live in a special area of camp which we call “The L.I.T. Village.”  The Village is located in a separate spot from the main camp area to help build community spirit between the L.I.T group. The village features canopy-covered tents that are raised on platforms – housing up to 4 campers each. Each tent is equipped with bunk beds and cabinets just like the rest of our accommodations. The L.I.T. Village also includes a shower and washroom facility, so L.I.T. campers get a taste of living in tents, while still having access to the conveniences of home.  Staff tents are interspersed throughout the village, which strengthens the community, and keeps everyone safe.

Pine Hall

The heart of any home is the kitchen, and the heart of Camp Muskoka, is our dining hall; Pine Hall! As one of the original buildings at camp, Pine Hall is where we gather for all of all our meals. Pine Hall is equipped with washroom facilities so everyone can wash up before meals, before enjoying delicious meals and snacks.

The Pavilion

The Pavilion is our largest indoor space, approximately 3520 square feet, with a 2300 square foot covered wrap around deck and offers plenty of room for a variety of indoor activities. It is largely used to accommodate indoor activities like dance, drama and yoga, but on a rainy day is large enough to be used to play sports like dodgeball and soccer. It is also equipped with a professional style DJ booth and lighting system for our weekly talent shows and dance parties!
