See a Typical Day at Camp Muskoka!

  • The grass in the meadow on the SOD is dewy, and there are birds singing in the new spring sunshine. Campers have finished their breakfast, and are about to begin their morning program. How about a game of Inuit Blanket? Group are you READY!! On the “P” of pull, pull and hold! As students surround the re-creation of the traditional animal hide blanket, each student is lifted into the air by the group, learning to trust and communicate with their peers.

  • After enjoying lunch in Pine Hall, students will head to their afternoon program. What better place to enjoy the new spring leaves than in the Camp Muskoka Canopy Aerial Park! Students can build confidence and get their adrenaline pumping while climbing across monkey lines, traversing suspension bridges and soaring through the air on our 900 foot zip-line – the longest over water in Ontario.

  • With plenty of excellent and nutritious food to choose from, all of our meals are served buffet style - featuring a variety of tasty options to suit the most picky eaters. Let us know if your child has special dietary needs and we will be happy to accommodate them! Typical breakfast items throughout the week include fresh fruit, yogurt, cold & hot cereals, fresh home baked bread, farm fresh eggs, pancakes, muffins, croissants, bagels, and sausages!

  • At Camp Muskoka, we use a “Choose Your Own Adventure” approach to programming. Throughout each day campers choose from a variety of activities. Cool down with a swim in Cougar Lake, practice your aim at the archery range, sing your heart out in our recording studio and much, much more !

  • Have you ever wondered what it’s like to breathe underwater? Well if so, the Camp Muskoka PADI Discover Scuba Diving experience is for you! Camp Muskoka’s PADI dive professionals will be offering this exciting program in Cougar Lake this summer. While this is not a scuba certification course, the Discover Scuba Diving experience is a fun and safe introduction to what it’s like to explore the underwater world and it will transform your life!

  • After warming up with some lunch and hot chocolate, students head out to their afternoon program period. How about some fire and shelter building? Students create their own survival fires and shelters, using resources they can find in the forest. Fire and shelter building is a great way to keep moving and stay warm while growing confidence and self-esteem.
